I was worried another black would feel flat, but the velvet quality here gives the wall so much depth. It went on smoothly and the slightly cooler undertone makes the room feel moody without being harsh.

The undertone is what sold me—it’s got that cool edge without feeling icy, so it warms up a room instead of flattening it. Coverage took two coats on my trim, which is fine, and the depth really does live up to the “velvet” name. Just wish it dried a touch faster between passes.
